That’s how often I get the privilege of starting a new Team Challenge at The Healthy Weigh with a new theme, new teams and new enthusiasm! I love that about my life’s work. I really do.

This June will mark my 28th year of owning my own business. There have been good times and bad times. Maybe that’s why I’m so thankful for this season… the good times.

Good times because I get to use my God given creativity and passion to inspire and encourage people to live their best lives. Good times because I get to see deep and meaningful change in the lives of my friends at The Healthy Weigh. Good times because the Team Challenge, the one time per week program at THW, allows me the freedom to write, read, learn and grow.

My enthusiasm for my life’s work has only grown over the last 10 years. When you break down the word enthusiasm, in the greek; inspired or possessed by God, it makes sense. I’m as enthusiastic about what I do today and possibly more than I have ever been.

When I look back on the bad times, years of financial struggle,  employee stresses, lack of consistency in the delivery of the program, I know that those bad times taught me the lessons that I needed to know for today. I can put myself back there emotionally even as I write this and feel the pressure that was on me for so many years. If not for my innocent (or ignorant) resolve, I might not be in the business today…but I just couldn’t give it up. Im so glad.

So today as I looked into the eyes of old friends and new at The Healthy Weigh, I thank God for His provision for His inspiration and for the heart He put in me to Just. Keep. At. It!

I don’t have plans for the future regarding retirement or slowing down. I’m just walking out this next ten weeks with a great group of people, asking God to fill me with that enthusiasm to continue my life’s work…helping people live their very best lives.

Thankful for the good times and the bad,

Letha
